Ancient Ghana's class ranking (in order): Royalty, middle class, peasant, then slaves. Peasants had the same living situations like slaves, but were not forced to do hard labor and able to be bough and sold. They kind of have the same class-ranking system we do ; high-class, middle-class, low-class, and the homeless. Except we don't have kings, queens, and slaves. In anciet Ghana, You were born into your social class. You could be the smartest guy, but if your families were peasants; that's all you would amount to; a peasant.
